Dairy And Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding ingredients

The ingredients for the Dairy And Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding are all clean, whole food ingredients and naturally free from sugar, gluten and dairy.

All these ingredients give this Keto sugar free chocolate pudding a great taste and texture.

Avocado

avocado-Dairy-Sugar-Free-Chocolate-Pudding

The avocado in this recipe adds some nice healthy fat full of magnesium, potassium and other great nutrients that are great for your health.

Avocado is actually a fruit and 1 large avocado contains:

  • 29 grams of excellent healthy fat
  • 975 mg of potassium
  • 13 grams of healthy fiber
  • Vitamin C, A and B-6
  • Calcium
  • Iron
  • Magnesium

In my book, Avocado is a super food and you should have it often, if not daily.

Cacao Powder

Cacao powder is better than traditional cocoa because it's less processed, keeping the nutrients in tack. I prefer the taste also.

Cacao powder contains Potassium, Protein, Magnesium and a small amount of fat.

MCT Oil

MCT Oil, like this one, has so many health benefits including:

  • Releases hormones that help keep you feeling full, Peptide YY and Leptin
  • Helps burn fat for energy
  • Some studies show can help with cognitive (brain) health
  • Helps lower blood sugar levels

You can use this MCT Oil in your morning coffee, salad dressing or smoothies for added health benefits.

Coconut Cream

Using Coconut Cream in this Keto sugar free chocolate pudding recipe keeps it dairy free.

Cocunut cream is also a good source of:

  • Healthy fat
  • Potassium
  • Iron
  • Magnesium

Save your left over coconut cream in the fridge and add to a smoothie recipe or make a delicious drink in the blender with:

Powdered Erythritol

By using Powdered Erythritol, you avoid the grainy texture of the regular erythritol and keep the pudding naturally sugar free and low carb.

Sugar isn't good for your health and you can read more about the dangers of sugar addiction and how to stop craving sugar in Sugar And Heart Disease.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon dates back to Ancient Egypt and was considered very valuable and a gift fit for kings. We're very lucky that today it's affordable and readily available.

Cinnamon is added to this recipe, not only because it adds a punch of flavor, but also because of its anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidants.

I use this organic cinnamon. You could also add a pinch of cinnamon to your coffee, hot tea and smoothies.

There are many more health benefits you can read about in this article from Vitae.

Cayenne Pepper

Cayenne pepper adds a pop of flavor and pulls out the chocolate flavor. I add cayenne pepper to many recipes because of all of the health benefits such as:

  • Lowering blood pressure
  • Controlling hunger
  • Natural pain reliever
  • Helps reduce bacteria

I used this cayenne pepper in so many recipes like Easy Keto Chili. I also add it to my hot tea as a great detox.

We are going to give this a try for a Holiday Season treat. I think this may just open a door for us to a whole different way of preparing desserts. Best regards, Andy

Hi Jamie. Well, anything involving chocolate is bound to win you some fans, isn’t it? I have to say, I’m intrigued by the inclusion of Cayenne Pepper! Is this a similar idea to adding salt to caramel?

    • Hi Richie! You’re so right, chocolate is the bomb! haha. Yes, the cayenne pepper is much like adding salt to caramel, it enhances the flavor. I love it in my hot cocoa also. Cayenne pepper also has anti-bacteria and anti-inflammatory properties, so a win win! Take care and thanks for commenting.

  4. Very interesting recipe. I will definitely make this for my family to try. I am not a huge fan of artificial sweeteners, so might substitute that for a natural sweetener, like honey. It sounds delicious. And who doesn’t love a guilt-free, healthy dessert!

    • Hope you enjoy it Patricia. I won’t use any of the chemical artificial sweeteners either, but I’m good with monk fruit, stevia and erythritol to keep it low carb. So glad you don’t use artificial sweeteners either, so bad for us! Honey is a great natural sweetener when you aren’t watching carbs. Hope you enjoy!

  5. Wow, this is very interesting. I never thought of adding avocado to a dessert, let alone chocolate. I like avocados and I also like chocolate. Sugar is my drug of choice when it comes to eating sweets and I know I need to eat a bit healthier. I’m going to have to try making this because it does look good to eat.

    • Hi Kaitlyn! Hope you enjoy this sugar free chocolate pudding. I really liked it and yes, getting off sugar is one of the best things you can do for your health. Take care!
