My mom used to make these for me and they're my go to comfort food now. I also love them with southern cream gravy – yes, sounds crazy but it is SOOO good, trust me.

Are salmon patties good for weight loss?
If they are cooked correctly, using this modified recipe, yes. The traditional recipe using corn meal, white flour and/or crackers isn't as healthy and has more calories and carbs.
How do I keep my salmon patties from falling apart?
The egg is what helps bind the ingredients together along with the almond flour and nutritional yeast.
It also helps to make sure they are good and brown on one side before you flip them over.
Is canned salmon raw?
Canned salmon is fully cooked. You can drain it and add to a salad if you would like.
What To Have With Your Keto Salmon Patty
In the old days, before I started my health journey, I ate very unhealthy and had horrible autoimmune issues. I would have had fried potatoes, prob some mac and cheese and biscuits with these.
The new healthy me will have the gravy on top of the patties, Keto Loaded Mashed Cauliflower Using Frozen Cauliflower Rice (Low Carb), and some fried radishes or turnips along with Keto Coleslaw.
Since southern cream gravy is normally high in carbs, I created a recipe for you here, Keto Old Fashioned Southern Cream Gravy
Some like a slice of lemon with their Keto Salmon Patty, but that is up to you! I don't mind the fish taste and don't want to dilute it with the lemon.

Best Salmon for Keto Salmon Patties
When cooking with seafood, always opt for wild caught seafood. As healthline.com says, not all salmon is created equal.
You don't want to eat the farmed seafood that has been fed unhealthy food and penned up. The act of penning them up creates stress in their body and then you take on that stress.
Farmed fish also contains twice the Omega 6 fats of wild caught salmon. This is way too much Omega 6 (less healthy) as compared to the Omega 3's (healthy fats).
Buying wild caught seafood ensures that your seafood was eating natural food and was out swimming in the water before it was caught. This is true for fresh fish also.
The boneless wild caught salmon I prefer is Kirland's or Wild Planet.
You can also find it at Kroger, Whole Foods, Sprouts, Costco and sometimes Walmart or Target.
Best Keto Almond Flour For Salmon Patties
From cooking Keto for several years now, I've learned that not all almond flour is created equal. Kirkland's brand is by far the best I've found. It is smoother and the texture is closer to real flour than some of the other brands. Other brands don't leave the food with the best texture, especially when baking.

I love that Richie commented below that in the UK they call these salmon burgers! Love learning new things like that. I think some also refer to them as salmon cakes.

Hi Jamie. These salmon patties (or burgers as we refer to them in the UK) look, and sound, delicious. I think we’ll be giving these a go sometime soon. Oh, and I think I’ve passed your ‘observation test’ – the recipe is for 4 patties, and there are 4 in the frying pan, but … there are 5 in the stack! 🙂
Hi Richie! Hope you enjoy them! UH OH on the number of patties – good catch. I’ll have to fix that. I like that you call them burgers, I’ll add that in too. Great tidbit of information. Take care!
